Where do I start?
There is no one way to start on your quest. Start with a category – relationships or challenges. Brose through the blog entries. Choose a topic that moves you and set some monthly goals. Still can’t decide? Go to goal of the month.
Is goal writing necessary?
Absolutely! If you don’t write a specific goal, you are not likely to attain it. Plus how will you know if you did? Read “How to: Write Goals” to start.
How will I know if I succeed?
That one is tricky. You need to devise a way to measure your progress before you start. Check out “Rewarding Goal Progress” for inspiration. When you do and you make progress, you will be happier!
What if I don't achieve my goals?
It’s the progress towards the goal that makes people happy. Think about it. Once you have achieved the goal, the moment is over. Progress could take weeks, months, or years. That’s a lot more happy time!
Consider the following questions when writing goals: What exactly are you trying to accomplish? How will you ascertain if you are successful or not? Is it a realistic goal? Does this goal fit into a larger, broader mission? How much time do you need?
The best way to get started is to make a plan which specifies where and when you will perform the desired behavior. Fill out the X, Y and Z for one of the sentences below to start. I will perform X at Y time in Z location OR After I do my current habit, I will perform X.
